Unfortunately Pitbull fighting is an illiegal activity thats still thriving in these here neck of the woods (where I live) and it makes my heart shrivvel to think that people can be that cruel...but, they are...and worse, that many officials are partaking, so that reporting someone is almost futile unless you go to another, bigger city, maybe even as far north as Atlanta or out west.
I didn't read the story because I can see by her eye what horrors must've ben inflicted on that poor dog, but it appears she's found a loving home and that's all we can aim for.
I am continuelly battling this issue - that and the gas chamber that my town still utilizes for destroying animals. (It's not a good place to live if you are a compassionate anmal lover!)

Hi guys - FH says that poor Shelby's story makes her feel ashamed to be a human sometimes. But we're so glad she now has some wonderful humans looking after her.
